What the 2024 Cardiff Half Marathon team made possible
JAM Fund update.
The 2024 Cardiff half marathon team contributed to the following items:-
£3000 donation towards a new wheelchair adapted vehicle for a little boy named Harry. Harry suffers from Angleman's syndrome. Without the funds, Harry's mum has said he would have been housebound, as his new electric wheelchair was too big for their older transport. As Harry grows, this new vehicle will provide more freedom for Harry and his family.
£1800 towards the purchase of a permanent memorial headstone for little Dylan Sayce, who's mum was devastated when his previous Memorial plaque was removed.( Thank you to Bridgend borough council for permission to install this)
£1000 donation to a young mum who was recently informed she has a form of cancer after just giving birth to her first child
£1000 Donation to a local family Dad (and friend) who is bravely battling the illness
£500 donation towards a specialist medical flight to re-patriate a prematurely born baby from Cardiff.
I have ( a few) places left for the 2025 race in October
Thank you to those already signed up, the uptake this year has been fantastic.
