Jamie's Oak: a living memorial

Jamie's Oak: a living memorial

So I've had a nice bit of news. 25 years ago, Jamie, his older brother Sam and their friend Peter Fordham planted an acorn in a pot to see if it would grow. I have the little oak tree still and it's been baring acorns of it's own for a few years now.
I managed to cultivate just one and grow it into another little tree
I've never done anything as a direct Memorial to my son in his name, but thanks to a local charity landowner, this tree will soon be planted with a memorial plaque, which features a picture of Jamie and the story of the boys planting it together.
It will be known as "Jamie's Oak" and will be a living memorial for many years after I've gone.
There will be a minister present when the tree is planted and hopefully Peter and Sam will be there to do it along with a woodland ranger in a spot that's been chosen for the tree to grow
