JAM Fund Christmas donations

JAM Fund Christmas donations.

Earlier in the year, my ex HMS Cornwall shipmate, David Humphries and his twin brother Derek (ex army) cycled over 800 miles from John O Groats in Scotland to Folkestone in Kent (Dave's home town) The lads were assisted in this by Dave's wife, Sue, in the support vehicle. In doing this, the team raised £5000 for the JAM Fund. I wanted the local communities of Dave and Derek to benefit from their efforts, so I've been working with the neo natal units at the William Harvey Hospital in Kent and Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading. The Reading neo natal staff (80 NHS staff) will each be receiving new sets of Christmas themed scrubs (at their request) and the team in Kent have requested 24 new breast pumps. These items are a practical request made directly by the staff and the JAM Fund is delighted to make a small difference to the teams. Total donation is approx £4500. A family in S.Wales has also been assisted with a gift donation to three brothers Thanks to Dave, Derek and Sue for making this possible.
