Our Patrons

David Swallow OBE

David is headmaster of Barry Comprehensive school and has been a major supporter of our fund.

David was awarded the OBE in June 2003 for services to education.

Brian Hibbard

As a charity and family we have been saddened by the news that Brian passed away earlier this month after a brave and prolonged battle with illness.

Brian and his wife Caroline have been supporters of our charity for a number of years and attended events when we asked. Brian had an infectious personality and smile and his sense of humour and positive outlook on life would warm others around him. Although well known and successful in his chosen field of acting, Brian was a very un-assuming and humble man and showed great compassion to others as he showed in his support of the Jam Fund and the children it supports.

Brian will be greatly missed by many and we would like to pay tribute and thank him for everything he has done for our small charity.

Our thoughts are with Caroline and the children.

\“I'm delighted to be involved with the JAM Fund because I know it makes a real difference to the lives of very brave children and their families. Because it's a small organisation the funds go straight to help the youngsters who need it most. Out of one family's tragedy has come a ray of hope.\”

Simon Weston OBE

Simon who is already a patron of other very worthy charities heard about the Jam-Fund and wanted to show his support, and kindly sent us this letter...

Dear all,

I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Jamie when we made a film together for the Welsh Blood Service a few years back - he was a very courageous young man who faced immense challenges with incredible energy and dignity, despite his very young age. It is an honour to be associated with a charity, which not only supports children and their families, but whose founders, in the face of adversity have responded in such a positive and productive way.

Already the charity has donated huge sums to LATCH and CHILDREN WITH LEUKAEMIA which is due, in no small part, to the energy and passion provided by those involved – well done!

I wish you all the best with future endeavours and look forward to hearing of your continued success.
Best Wishes

Simon
