1940s revisited JAM Fund style

In July 2006 The Jam Fund held a 1940s themed Summer vening Ball. This was held at Barry Memorial Hall and was attended by the Royal Navy,RAF and Welsh Guards. Over 200 people attended the event, entertainment was provided by the Swansea based big band "Swingshift" who played Glenn Millar and blues music and by the "Hoppin Mad" Jive and swing dancers, who were amazing and also gave demonstrations and info on how the style of dancing in the 1940s had evolved. The Welsh museum also provided props from the era and there were even 1940s newspapers and "black market chocolate" on the tables!

Thanks to everyone who attended to show their support!
